In the verdant hills of Kannur district, where the eastern sun rises with promise, lies the quaint village of Chemperi, a cradle of hope and learning. Since the dawn of Malabar's great migration, this blessed land has nurtured dreams and aspirations. In 1950, the visionary Rev. Fr. Kuriakose Kudakkachira, a guiding light, kindled the flame of education, and an elementary school was born. Seven years later, on June 3, 1957, under the wise leadership of Rev. Fr. Jacob Varikattu, the illustrious Chemperi Nirmala High School rose like a phoenix, spreading its wings of knowledge. In 1998, Rev. Fr. John Kallunkal, a beacon of progress, elevated the institution to a higher secondary school, ushering in a new era of excellence.
With humble beginnings, the school blossomed adding a commerce batch in August 2011, a testament to its growth and vision. The erudite corporate manager, Rev. Fr. John Vadakkummoolayil, steered the ship with wisdom.
Under the stewardship of its first principal, the venerable Mr. M.I. Jose, and subsequent leaders, Mr. P.T. Baby, Mr. Johnson Mathew, Mr. N.D. Sunny, and Mr. Mathew Joseph, the school flourished, transcending boundaries of caste, religion, and class. This hallowed temple of learning, a sanctuary of Knowledge, has illuminated the minds of thousands, achieving a symphony of academic, sporting, and artistic excellence.
The parish is running a hospital to enable the people of Chemperi and nearby places to obtain an immediate solution to the sick and weak. It provides outpatient and inpatient and emergency medical care for the sick and injured people. It helps the parishioners to diagnose their disease for the treatment as well as reference to a speciality hospital
